Introducing GoobnBalloonsDX!

Fans of arcade games will be excited to learn about GoobnBalloonsDX, a 2D classic arcade style action game in which you work to save your planet an army of evil balloons falling the sky. You play as Goobert, a small warrior accompanied by his friends - unlockable characters with additional playstyles - on a journey to prevent the ruin of Goobstar. This game has over 100 challenges, varied playable characters and an in depth story mode, rare for the genre! GoobnBalloonsDX will certainly be a perfect fit for both hobbyist gamers and scorechasers! 

We’re doing things a bit differently with the dev team on this project – our focus is on consultancy services covering game development and marketing strategies. Our work with GoobnBalloonsDX involves game analysis to identify marketable features, including advice on enhancing the game's overall quality with a focus on narrative journey, gameplay feel and player friction points.

Game development consultancy isn’t something we typically champion on the Acorn website, as our focus has typically been around video game marketing and community development. As more and more devs take to the pursuit of creating their own indie games, it’s clear that these services are invaluable as part of a holistic journey from concept all the way to console.

Christian Bliss

Our point-man for this process is Christian Bliss, a seasoned game veteran and the main gatekeeper at Sony during the PS3 era when it came to shipping your indie game on the platform. With over 20 years in games consultancy, Christian is focused on a series of industry standard checks and key indicators that separate the indie darlings from the bloatware.
