With a full time job and limited development time, the solo developer of Lord Winklebottom Investigates needed help building and growing an audience for the upcoming game. Over the course of twelve months, Acorn worked to grow the game’s audience, establish an internal community on Discord and drive wishlist clicks towards a successful launch.

Case Study:
Digerati and Big Sugar

Indie games publisher Digerati came to us to lead social strategy for multiple games under their label. We worked closely with the developers to built their own channels, while converting their audiences to raise the profile of Digerati itself. After around 30+ releases, we set towards a new goal - launching the premium indie publishing studio, Big Sugar. Our social marketing ideas were interlinked closely with internal development, production, press and influencer timelines.

Biped

NExT Studios have entrusted us with the ongoing social strategy for Biped, their co-op 3D platformer. Our focus is to extend the lifespan of the game by making the community the stars, amplifying the gameplay content created by streamers and players. This strengthens the bond between the studio and the community, creates extended visibility for the game and builds an engaged audience receptive to new game updates and news.

Working at the request of another agency, Acorn was tasked with growing the engagement for Alienware’s European social media channels. We worked hand in hand with their internal community teams on this for a number of years, directing the brand towards new trends and shifts in social usage. We continue to lead global community on Alienware Arena.
