Acorn Games' Mid-Year Update!

Hey all, how’s it going?

We’re only days away from entering the latter half of 2026, and we’d like to use this opportunity to give you a quick update on what we’re working on right now!

CerebralFix Working on Unannounced Award-Winning Port

We’re thrilled to be working with CerebralFix, a celebrated game development studio from New Zealand that just ported Dredge to mobile, to help build a marketing strategy for an unannounced game port. This includes deep industry analysis and marketing beats for the launch of an acclaimed PC game for console and mobile platforms. Alongside being overjoyed to work on such a brilliant game with a veteran team, we’ll be giving top-level guidance on deeper marketing strategy, such as assets, messaging, platform holder amplification and more. Watch this space!

Long-Term Marketing Partnership with Beach Slap

Developed by Team KwaKwa from Switzerland, Beach Slap is a humorous party game where you and your friends play as penguins fighting to win a spot on the beach on vacation. The game will have hundreds of different maps where you can duke it out with your friends, and you’ll be able to create your own custom maps with the level editor! Our collaboration will see us assisting the team with marketing strategy, social media management, press and influencer outreach and more. Super excited to work with the team!

Pass the Fear Launch Campaign

Pass the Fear is a solo or co-op roguelite bullet-hell shooter where you must find a way to escape before dawn breaks on an island hit by a catastrophic Witch’s Disaster.

We helped the team with social media strategy and press/influencer outreach, and we’re excited to announce that the game just released to tremendous praise on July 23!

In our initial campaign, we saw great success during the last Steam Next Fest. If you’re on the fence about how Next Fest can benefit your game with the right strategy, take a look through these numbers:

  • Pass the Fear ranked at 33rd, competing with nearly 16,000 demos!

  • The game also ranked 14th in CCU during Next Fest, with the third day being the most active at 2,266 CCU.

  • On socials, Pass the Fear grew its follower count by x1.25 and ranked at 95 amongst all games, gaining 654 new followers!

We’re extremely proud of the results and thank you to Paras Games for entrusting us with this project! The launch has been an incredible success and we look forward to sharing new numbers soon.

The first half of 2026 was a blast! We loved working with our clients, and we’re grateful for all the opportunities and collaborations. If you’re also looking for some marketing support, feel free to reach us anytime!
